Doctor Bennett changed the name of our eye care clinic to Spectrum Eye Care to reflect the "spectrum" of changes he sees coming in eye care, healthcare, the VA, and eye disease management, as well as the partnerships doctors maintain with insurance providers, clinics, and hospitals.
The office began as Briargate Optical in 1989 with the emphasis on optical.
In 1999, Doctor Bennett added eye disease management for diabetes and hypertension, along with the treatment and management of glaucoma and surgery co-management.
Today, Doctor Bennett continues to add digital examination technology to his exams along with more choices in lenses, coatings, and new contact lenses.
For a wide spectrum of services, including eye exams, computer vision syndrome treatment, eye allergy relief, dry eye treatment, pediatric eye doctor services, updated prescriptions, and new glasses or contacts, turn to Spectrum Eye Care in Colorado Springs.
Our optometrist also serves many patients who live in neighboring communities, including Gleneagle, Monument, and Flying Horse, CO. If you live in any of these areas and need the services of an eye doctor, get in touch with our office today.
"We know you have a choice when it comes to your eye care. We strive to provide modern eye exams, a great selection of glasses, and personalized care every time you visit our office."

I’ve landed a dream job as Practice Director guiding all facets of new technology, our 5 year vision and of course fashion eyewear. My staff is the office’s greatest asset so we spend time training to improve service, care and our knowledge base. Customer service has always been my priority as an optician for over 20 years. Service surrounds our quality eye care and attention to detail. We take care of insurance, referrals, and deliver beautiful eyewear you can be proud to wear for years to come.

My education and experience in optical started in 1996 working with customers as a technician and optician. As a buyer of our designer eyewear, I merge the newest fashions with Zeiss, Varilux and Shamir digital technology in your prescription lenses. Ongoing relationships with the patients make coming to work a pleasure as I watch their families grow and enjoy Colorado like we do.

I give the kind of service and care I want my family to receive when shopping for an eye doctor and office. I perform many of the digital tests you will receive and train patients on contact lens care products that will protect their vision and give them good value. Changes in technology keep me busy, whether it is a new contact lens material or digital eye scan for detecting disease.
